In Memory: Kenneth Box '56
Kenneth Box '56 passed away at the age of 88 on Oct. 14, 2019. He received his teaching degree from Pacific in 1959 and then went on to obtain his master's degree. After graduation, Box worked at Yamhill High School, where he met Becky, his wife of 62 years. They settled in the Beaverton area where he taught high school and then became an administrator for the Beaverton School District.
Kenneth had a lifelong interest in woodworking, building furniture, woodcarving, and even building sailboats, which prompted his involvement in the Willamette Sailing Club.
He is preceded in death by his wife Betty, and his brother Donald. He is survived by sister Marge Williams of Walla Walla, Wash.; children Kathy Fish (Ken) of Camas, Wash., Jim (Laura) of Naperville, ILL, Tom (Jana) of Salem, Ore.; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
