In Memory: James Currie
James “Jim” Currie died Aug. 25, 2018, at age 75. He was Pacific’s distinguished professor of chemistry for more than three decades before retiring. Throughout his tenure, he was dedicated to the sciences and the university’s growth. He played a significant role in bringing Pacific into the computer age, helping write and maintain computer aided molecular modeling programs for the chemistry labs. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vicki; sister, Marcia (and Dale); sons, Nathan and Daniel (and Meghan); and two grandchildren.
