In Memory: Francis “Frankie” Dierickx ’65
Francis “Frankie” Dierickx ’65 died Apr. 14, 2019, at age 75, surrounded by loved ones.
He served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. In 1972, he married his wife, Sharon, and they raised two children together. He graduated from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management and moved to San Francisco, Calif., before ultimately settling down in Portland.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and playing sports, having coached baseball, football, basketball, rugby, and handball. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and John. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon; children, Joe and Heather; two grandchildren; brothers, Ed (and Becky), Bill (and Sue), and Jim; and an extended family.
