In Memory: Dorothy Louise Tontz Anderson '36
Dorothy Louise Tontz Anderson '36 died two months short of her 105th birthday. She lived her entire life in Oregon.
She graduated from Lincoln High school at age 16 and attended Pacific University, graduating in 1936. At age 19, she married Loyed Anderson. Together they raised their three sons and a daughter while becoming entrepreneurs. She was well known in the Portland area as the pharmacist and owner of the Lloyd Center Pharmacy, after returning to school and earning her degree from Oregon State in 1953.
She is survived by her children, Lloyd and wife, Doris, Jim and wife, Evelyn, Phil and wife, Marcia, and Christine and husband, Larry. She had 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1994.
