In Memoriam: Muriel (Hughes) Porter '50

Muriel (Hughes) Porter '50 died on May 15, 2021 at age 93. Porter received her bachelor’s in physical education from Pacific. She taught at Langlois School, Hermiston High School, Naples (Italy) and Helix High School. She was a longtime member of the Stanfield Harmony Club, Stanfield Hobby Club and the Hermiston Travel Club. Porter enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and being a grandmother.

Porter was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; a sister, Eunice; and a brother, Clarence. She is survived by her sons, Steven and Fritz; daughters, Linda, Rita and Kelly; brother, Clyde; and grandsons, Nathan, Nicholas and Tyler.
