In Memoriam: Louis Robert Holzgang ’54
Louis Robert Holzgang ’54 died Aug. 11, 2021, at age 89. He was born May 6, 1932, in Klamath Falls, Ore., where he lived most of his life. In 1954, he married his high school sweetheart, Dolores Kidder. He served for two years in the Army and was stationed in Colorado Springs, Colo. After being discharged from military service, he returned to Klamath Falls and worked at Weyerhaeuser Co., retiring in 1990. Holzgang spent much of his free time hunting and fishing with family and friends, and after retirement, he turned his attention to golf. He also was an active member of Sacred Heart Church.
Holzgang was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ollie Holzgang; and his sister, Anne Rene Rettig. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Holzgang ’54; sons James Alan (and Terri) Holzgang and Larry (and Susan) Holzgang; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
