In Memoriam: James “Joe” Berry OD ’63

James "Joe" L. Berry, Jr. ’OD 63 died Nov. 20, 2020, at age 83. Born in Boise, he attended school in Casper, Wyo., and then at the University of Wyoming. He earned his doctor of optometry from Pacific University then enlisted in the Army as an officer. After his discharge as a captain, he practiced optometry in Portland. Following the loss of his second wife, Marlene Berry, in 1990,  he returned to Casper to care for his parents and work for Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters, where he met his future wife, Brenda Lee Black.

Berry was preceded in death by his parents, Annabell and James; his stepson, Shawn Kevin Ramsey; and cousins. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; and cousins.
