In Memoriam: Ira Andrews
Ira Andrews Jr. ’57 died Oct. 28, 2021, at age 97. . Raised in Montana, he graduated from Billings High School in 1942 and attended Ply Tech (Rocky Mountain College) to study chemical engineering. He left to enlist in the army, where he served as a supply clerk and earned the WWII Victory Medal. After leaving the Army, he attended Pacific. He met and married his wife at Pacific, and they returned to Montana where he spent most of his life as a rancher. He was involved with the Shrine Center in Billings and was a lifetime member of the John Birch Society, the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, the Shrine Hospital Corps, Billings York Rite and the Knights Templar.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roberta “Bobby” (Westfall) Andrews ’58; sisters Irene and Mildred; and children Dale and Sue. He is survived by his children, Anne (and Willy) Gergen, Tom (and Pam) Andrews, and Kathy (and Keith) Myers; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
