In Memoriam: Howard Ottman '70

Howard Ottman '70 died Jan. 3, 2020, at age 74. Ottman received a bachelor’s degree in education from Pacific and master’s degrees in administration and physical education from the University of Oregon. He served in vice principal, principal and superintendent roles in Bandon, Mapleton and Culver schools, ending his career as superintendent of the Lakeview Schools.

Ottman was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ardith; two infant siblings; sister, Ruth; and granddaughter, Chloe. He is survived by wife, Diana Ottman '69; son, Derek; daughter, Kristin; brother, Mike; sisters, Karen and Pat; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
