In Memoriam: Gerald Leshgold OD '42

Gerald Leshgold OD ’42 died June 3, 2020, at age 101. After attending the optometry school at Pacific, Leshgold opened his first practice with a fellow graduate in Portland, Ore., where they practiced together for five years. Eventually, after adding four offices to their practice, Leshgold managed Vaughn Street and the Hollywood District locations. He practiced for 40 additional years and retired in 1988. Leshgold also served in the Air Force for three years as a 2nd Lt. in the Control Tower Division.

Leshgold is survived by wife Evelyn; three daughters, Barrie, Lynn and Carol; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
