In Memoriam: Elizabeth "Betty" Horn

Elizabeth “Betty” Horn, a longtime member of the Forest Grove community, died September 23, 2021, at age 80.

Born in Londonderry, North Ireland, she moved to Scotland, where she married Andrew Hamilton “Andy” Horn on Sept. 1, 1965. The couple immigrated to Canada in 1971, and one year later they moved to Forest Grove, Ore.

Horn worked as an administrative assistant at Pacific University for more than 33 years, until she retired at the age of 65. 

Horn was preceded in death by her parents, Alistair and Margaret Campbell; and husband Andy. She is survived by her children, Russell Horn '91, OD '95 (Jackie Clair-Horn), Pacific University College of Optometry Dean Fraser Horn '00, OD '04 (Nicole Kopacz), and daughter Elaine Horn; and grandchildren, Fiona, Ian, Chelsea, Andrew and Liam.
