In Memoriam | David Hayden ’67
David Hayden ’67 died April 6, 2022, at age 77. Born in Berkeley, Calif., he lived and traveled extensively throughout the world. He served in the Peace Corps with positions in French West Africa, including Dakar, Senegal and the Republic of Niger, where he taught English. He earned a degree in sociology at Pacific and an MBA from California State University, Fresno, then went on to a lengthy career in international banking with assignments in London, Paris, and Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
After retirement, he lived in Hungary, Spokane, Tucson, and finally Moore, S.C. His humor, intellect and keen insights into world geo/politics made him a fascinating conversationalist to those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Robin; his daughter, Lisa Hanson; stepdaughter Cindy Holtzman; siblings, Deirdre Hayden Clausen ’69 and Jeremy Hayden; six nieces and nephews; and three cousins.
