In Memoriam: Christina Smith OD '95

Christina Smith OD '95 died on Aug. 11, 2019 at the age of 50 after a battle with breast cancer. Smith received her doctorate in optometry from Pacific, and then went to raise her family and start an optometry practice in Black Mountain, N. C. She organized many optometric mission trips over her lifetime, traveling to places like Grenada and Trinidad to help bring better vision to the underserved populations. 

Smith is survived by her husband, Chris German, their two sons Sean (22) and Will (19); her parents Ann and Richard Smith; her sister and brother-in-law Julia and Jacob Caselli; and many other loving family members.
