Marjorie Edwards PT ’21: School of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training Class Valedictorian
Marjorie Edwards PT ’21, who is from Tualatin, Ore., was selected as physical therapy class valedictorian by Pacific University’s School of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training.
“Marjorie Edwards earned the highest cumulative GPA among her respective cohort. She is appointed as the class valedictorian as a result of her commendable academic achievement,” said nominators.
Edwards, who graduated in May 2021, also served as a physical therapy class tutor.
“My own study habits received a massive overhaul at the start of my program, and as a tutor, I hope to help my peers navigate the demands of a graduate program more quickly and efficiently than I did,” said Edwards.
The doctor of physical therapy program prepares well-rounded candidates for certification and licensure as healthcare professionals who can deliver person-centered care. Pacific offers a curriculum that is balanced in the areas of orthopedic, neurologic, and general physical therapy with attention to the needs of pediatric patients, geriatric patients, and other special populations.
