Madalyn Seidl PharmD '21: Pacific's School of Pharmacy Outstanding Graduate
Madalyn Seidl PharmD '21 is the Pacific University Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate in the School of Pharmacy, and also was the recipient of USPHS Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award.
Seidl, from Castle Rock, Wash., earned a doctor of pharmacy degree in May 2021. As a student, Seidl served as Phi Lambda Sigma Gamma Lambda chapter president, the Pacific Pharmacy Students United secretary, and APhA-ASP Operation OTC Medicine Safety co-chair. The USPHS Excellence Award recognizes graduating students that make significant contributions to public health. This includes advancing the objectives of Healthy People 2030, the Surgeon General's priorities, and the pharmacy profession.
The Pacific University School of Pharmacy offers a three-year path to a doctor of pharmacy degree that prepares students to earn licensure to work in patient care. The school also offers a master of science in pharmaceutical sciences focused on research.
Seidl is one of seven 2021 graduates to receive an Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award. Other awardees are Maile Altier PT '21, Jen Bass '21, Michelle Lee MS, OD '21, Fernando Lira '21, Rae Palmer SLP '21, and Alexis Reynoso MSAT '21.
