Larry Feign MFA ‘12 Set to Publish First Adult Novel

Larry Feign MFA '12 published his first novel for adults, The Flower Boat Girl, on June 28, 2021. The novel is based on the life story of Shek Yang, a 19th century Chinese woman who was sold into prostitution, abducted by pirates and eventually became the most powerful pirate in world history. 

Feign writes historical fiction under his own name and children’s books under the pen name M.D. Whalen. He lives in a small Chinese village near Hong Kong.
