Kiera Yap '21: Outstanding Contributions to Student Life
Kiera Yap ’21 has received Pacific University’s award for Outstanding Contributions to Student Life.
Yap, who is from Kailua, Hawai’i, majored in biology and also was operations coordinator for Outdoor Pursuits.
“Kiera has brought an incredibly positive attitude to her work and makes all the participants feel welcome,” her nominators said. “Kiera models strong leadership through tasks big and small, and inspires others with her willingness to serve students through thankless work, such as driving 4 a.m. airport shuttles. She has made Pacific a better place by being so warm, friendly, and funny to everyone she meets.”
Fellow classmates Keagan Weis '21, Chika Matsumoto '21, Seema Khatcherian '21 and Jessica Monje Pérez '21 also received Outstanding Contribution to Student Life awards.
