Jessica Moore, EdD, ATC Joins the Athletic Training Faculty
Dr. Jessica Moore, EdD, ATC will join the Athletic Training Program as a Full-time faculty. In her primary role as Assistant Professor, she will share her expertise in AT 600 General Medical Conditions as well as Co-Teaching varies courses alongside Dr. Jeffery Kawaguchi and Dr. Dana Bates.
Dr. Moore obtained her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Montana. She has worked in numerous clinical settings within athletic training, most recently as an athletic trainer for an orthopedic practice holding positions as clinical outreach athletic trainer, physician extender and as medical liaison to a youth football league.
Dr. Moore completed her BS in Athletic Training at Castleton State College and obtained a post-professional Masters degree in Athletic Training from Old Dominion University in Virginia. Dr. Moore is thrilled to be joining the Faculty at Pacific University. She will be involved in teaching Orthopedic Evaluation: Lower and Upper Quadrant, Professionalism and Ethics in Athletic Training, General Medial Conditions and the clinical education course series, in addition to assisting Dr. Bates with coordination of clinical education of the ATP. Her research interests include psychosocial intervention and referral, development of patient-provider relationships, patient-centered care and patient adherence.
