Jen Bass '21: Pacific's Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate in the College of Arts & Sciences

Jen Bass '21 was named the 2021 Pacific University Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate in the College of Arts and Sciences. 

Bass, who graduated with an environmental studies and music double major in 2021, was the president of Students for Environmental Activism at Pacific and also helped organize the Climate Walk-Out and community parade. She presented at Pacific’s Undergraduate Research Conference and excelled as a top student in the philosophy program. Bass was also the recipient of the Kathrin Cawein Endowed Scholarship in 2017.

In her award nomination, Bass was described as an “activist and a civic engager,” and an inspiration for students. 

Bass is one of seven 2021 graduates to receive an Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award. Other awardees include included Maile Altier PT '21, Michelle Lee MS, OD '21, Fernando Lira '21, Rae Palmer SLP '21, Alexis Reynoso MSAT '21, and Madalyn Seidl PharmD '21.
