"It's Chaos. Be Kind."
Audrey Delaney-Hanna '22 applied to the Pacific University master of arts in teaching because she was seeking a program that promoted strong communication between teachers and students. She found through the application process that every staff member she encountered was kind and helpful.
Delaney-Hanna is drawn to teaching because she enjoys providing opportunities for people to learn and collaborate. She draws inspiration from teachers she's encountered through her own personal experiences, and they’ve motivated her to help students widen their perspectives and learn both in and out of the classroom.
She advises current and future Pacific students to lower their defenses, so they can be open to listening to others without the beliefs and opinions they may already hold, allowing them to learn much more.
