High School Artists Featured in Juried Show at Cawein Gallery in March
Artwork by students from multiple high schools in Washington County, Ore., will be on display in March at the Kathrin Cawein Gallery of Art on Pacific University’s Forest Grove Campus. The Regional High School Juried Show features about 40 pieces made by high school students from the greater Forest Grove area and selected by Pacific University art faculty.
Gallery director and art professor Tyler Brumfield said he and his colleagues looked at about 150 pieces before settling on 40. The pieces include drawings, paintings and ceramic sculptures.
The show opens with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. March 2 at the gallery, located in Pacific Hall on Pacific’s Forest Grove Campus. Artwork will remain on display through March 21 during the gallery’s open hours, 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Admission is free, and the gallery and reception are open to the public.
