Halley Read Promoted to Associate Professor

Halley Read has been promoted to associate professor in the School of Occupational Therapy at Pacific University.

Read’s clinical expertise is in mental health occupational therapy. She is very passionate about and dedicated to growing the numbers of occupational therapists working in mental health settings, including the community, and has goals to support the OT workforce to embrace their roots in psychosocial practice regardless of practice setting. 

Pursuing her PhD in Translational Health Sciences, she aims to educate future clinicians on, lead mental healthcare practitioners in, and study how to move evidence into practice more efficiently and effectively in order to support societal health.

The non-tenure promotion in rank for faculty members is granted upon recommendation by college personnel committees and approval by the University Personnel Committee president.
