Fernando Lira '21: Pacific's Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate for the College of Business

Fernando Lira '21 is the Pacific University Alumni Association’s 2021 Outstanding Graduate in the College of Business, Outstanding Senior in Business, and recipient of the Lesley M. Hallick Award for Leadership & Service.

Lira graduated from Pacific in May 2021 with a bachelor of arts in business administration. As a student, Lira was a member of the Business Club, Chamber Choir, residence hall government, Undergraduate Student Senate, Chinese Club and more.

He created TheFinancialCents in January 2021, which is an educational blog/social media page providing a holistic approach to financial education.

Lira is one of seven 2021 graduates to receive an Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award. Other awardees included Maile Altier PT '21, Jen Bass '21, Michelle Lee MS, OD '21, Rae Palmer SLP '21, Alexis Reynoso MSAT '21, and Madalyn Seidl PharmD '21.

The Lesley M. Hallick Award for Leadership & Service provides a $1,000 award, supported by alumnus Tim Choy '64, for a graduating senior who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to Pacific and the surrounding community.
