Dr. Tabitha Galindo '19 DPT Selected to Participate in APTA Centennial Scholars Program
Dr. Tabitha Galindo '19 DPT was recently selected to participate in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Centennial Scholars Program during 2021. The purpose of the year-long program is to build a cadre of future association leaders at both the component and national levels. APTA state chapters and components will sponsor up to one hundred scholars, who will be paired with mentors and participate in learning experiences and two in-person events, while working on capstone projects to benefit their sponsors. As part of the competitive application process, applicants described their leadership goals, values, personal and professional growth, and plans to contribute to the profession, among other topics.
"I am honored to be appointed as the 2020 APTA Oregon Centennial Scholar! I look forward to collaborating on a national level to develop a capstone to best serve our local physical therapy component," said Dr. Galindo. "Furthermore, I am so grateful for the mentorship I received during my time at Pacific University and I look forward to continuing to be an active participant both in my profession and in the Pacific community."
