Dr. Rikhtehgar Berenji is a Finalist for Prestigious Dissertation Award
The College of Business is proud to announce Professor Hossein Rikhtehgar Berenji as a finalist for the 2020 Elwood Buffa Doctoral Dissertation Award
The Decision Sciences Institute (DSI)selected Dr. Rikhtehgar Berenji for his dissertation titled How Buyers Can Engage Suppliers to Improve Social and Environmental Responsibility. DSI is a professional association, which recognizes outstanding doctoral dissertation research. Rikhtehgar Berenji will give a detailed presentation at DSI’s 51st annual meeting on Nov. 22, 2020.
Dr. Rikhtehgar Berenji also earned the 2019 Best Problem-Driven Analytical Research Paper Award from the Decision Sciences Institute for the thesis Using Auditing and Commitment for engaging the Supplier for Supply Chain Sustainability.
Professor Rikhtehgar Berenji is a valued faculty member within the College of Business at Pacific University. He teaches operations management, business analytics, and supply chain management courses for the college. His research interests fall broadly in supply chain management and data analytics with sustainability and healthcare applications. In recent research projects, Rikhtehgar Berenji investigates how buyers can engage suppliers to be more socially and environmentally responsible.
