Dr. Kevin Chui and Colleagues Publish a New e-Textbook on Physical Therapy for the Older Adult
Physical Therapy Director Dr. Kevin Chui is the second of four editors for a new e-textbook, Physical Therapy for the Older Adult— Examination and Intervention: An Evidence Based Approach (ISBN: 978-1-4963-4333-8) published by Wolters Kluwer.
Dr. Carole Lewis (George Washington University), Dr. Debra Gray (University of St. Augustine), and Dr. Gail Huber (Northwestern University) also served as editors and are nationally renowned educators and researchers.
This is the first comprehensive and evidence-based physical therapy eLearning resource of its kind with embedded interactive learning assessments, pictures, videos, case studies, and links to supporting resources. Thirty-three chapters are organized into four modules: 1) Facts and Fiction, 2) Making Up Your Mind – Functional Assessment, 3) Making a Plan: Developing Treatment Programs, and 4) The Whole Picture – Other Things That Really Count.
For this project, Dr. Chui edited 11 chapters and co-authored 4 chapters with colleagues from across the country. Physical Therapy faculty members Dr. Jose Reyna and Dr. Jeremy Hilliard also co-authored a chapter in this e-textbook.
