Even in the best of circumstances, the holiday season can bring up a variety of emotions. It can be a chance to recuperate from the stress of midterms and finals; but for others, the holidays can cause a mixture of stress and anxiety. For some it is a combination of both celebration and distress. At Pacific we care about your well-being. Here are some tips for the holiday season.
Dental Hygiene Student
Pacific's dental hygiene program has always been on the forefront of it's field, thanks in part to the leadership of founding director Lisa Rowley. Today, Rowley remains a generous supporter of dental hygiene students, and the school is piloting innovations in dental care.

Pacific University’s School of Dental Hygiene Studies will participate in a pilot project to help determine the feasibility of adding a dental therapist to a patient’s dental care team. Dental therapists can perform many of the preventive treatments of a dental hygienist and some of the procedures a dentist provides, but do not hold doctorates in dentistry.

A car accident put Amber Smith's college education on hold. When she returned to campus, she found herself on an unexpected path.
Lisa Rowley
Lisa Rowley is one of 10 Pacific University donors inducted in 2019 into the President’s Circle, a giving society recognizing those who have given at least $100,000 to Pacific over their lifetimes.
Members of the Pacific University community are encouraged to increase their awareness when walking on campus. With increased precipitation, surfaces can become slippery quickly - inside and outside buildings.
Jobs
In December, Rick Jobs, professor of history, was an invited guest of the House of European History in Brussels, Belgium, where he spoke about his work on the transnational history of youth and young people.
