Dr. Fawzy Elbarbry: Teamwork across multiple institutions between pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice
A new article by Dr. Fawzy Elbarbry titled “Assessing Propylene Glycol Toxicity in Alcohol Withdrawal Patients Receiving Intravenous Benzodiazepines: A One-Compartment Pharmacokinetic Model” has been published the European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics.
This project is a great example of teamwork between different institutions and pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice. Dr. Elbarbry led this study with a team that includes Charlie Bodreau, a third-year School of Pharmacy P3 student, Ashley Jahn, a resident at Legacy Health, and Kate Farthing, director of the pharmacy services at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center.
The project was mostly done at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center (LSCMC) where Dr. Elbarbry practices.
