Dr. Bompiani re-elected Regional Director for the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy
Physical therapy professor Erin Bompiani, PT, DPT, PCS has been re-elected to her second term as a board member for the American Physical Therapy Association, Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy. Dr. Bompiani is the Regional Director for the Western Region and serves as the contact for the state representatives within the region and acts as a liaison between these state representatives, the members in her region, and the Academy leadership. The Western Region includes Alaska, California, Hawai’i, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
Starting this year, she was also appointed to serve in an additional leadership role as the Regional Director Coordinator. In this role she will be the represent the Regional Directors and will act as the liaison to the rest of the board and the other Academy leadership. The Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy is going through a governance review and restructuring and Dr. Bompiani has been a key member on a variety of task forces related to this process. The organization is working on creating a more efficient and flexible structure to help better achieve the strategic plan and support members.
