Diana Vazquez Duque APS ’21: School of Graduate Psychology Local Clinical Scientist Award
Diana Vazquez Duque APS ’21 received the Local Clinical Scientist Award from the Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology’s applied psychological science program.
Fellow student Janie Kiyokawa ’19, APS ’21 also received the award.
"Diana examined a very timely topic for her thesis project titled 'Protest participation in the US: How identity shapes modern revolutions,'" professors said. "Diana conducted a literature review that examined 13 articles examining the relationships between four identity factors and protest engagement."
Vazquez, who is from Milwaukie, Ore., graduated from Pacific University in August 2021 with a master’s degree in applied psychological science. The terminal master’s degree program prepares students to work as a qualified mental health professional, clinical or applied researcher, or prepare for doctoral programs.
