Danielle Hobbs ’21: School of Dental Hygiene Studies Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award
Danielle Hobbs ’21 received the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award from the Pacific University School of Dental Hygiene Studies.
“Danielle has demonstrated excellence in clinical dental hygiene skills, particularly in the area of instrumentation,” her professors wrote.
Hobbs, who is from Grants Pass, Ore., said she chose dental hygiene because she finds it extremely rewarding to give people a reason to smile and to improve their overall health, and she enjoys building relationships with patients.
Hobbs graduated from Pacific University in August 2021 with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene, or BSDH.
The School of Dental Hygiene Studies offers a two-year bachelor’s degree that prepares future dental hygienists with a particular focus on interprofessional care and public health service.
