Danielle Backus Named Associate Professor

Danielle Backus has been promoted to associate professor in the Pacific University School of Pharmacy.

Backus graduated with a doctor of pharmacy from Drake University in Iowa in 2013. She then completed two years of post-graduate training at the VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System and Midwestern University College of Pharmacy–Glendale before joining Pacific University as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice in 2015. 

Her teaching and scholarship focus in the areas of geriatrics, clinical pharmacist skill development, and interprofessional education. She maintains a practice with Providence ElderPlace Beaverton, where she provides clinical pharmacy services and experiential rotations for Pacific pharmacy students.
