Dance Faculty Member James Healey to Perform in Production Honoring Late Musician Elliot Smith

Pacific University Dance instructor James Healey will take to the stage to perform in a show celebrating the musical works and life of the late Elliot Smith.

The show, created by the Eric Skinner/Daniel Kirk Dance Ensemble, will feature Healey as part of a five-person dance ensemble performing an hour-long series full of vignettes set to the works of Smith, as reinvented by composer Galen Clark. The show has been organized into a number of solos, duets, trios, quartets and quintet numbers, all choreographed and designed to explore the types of relationships between the dancers’ bodies and themselves as individuals.

The show will run from March 23 to April 1 in the BodyVox Dance Center in Northwest Portland.
