College of Business Celebrates 2021 Passport for Professional Development Awards

Th College of Business (COB) strengthened its commitment to developing students both in and outside of the classroom by concluding another successful academic year with its Passport for Professional Development. The program is part of the COB’s Office of Placement Services.

Passport for Professional Development is designed to ignite a passion within students and certify students’ commitment to the craft. Passport activities are selected to help students become career ready by strengthening core competencies required to transition successfully into the business community.

“Professional development is a life-long, ongoing, learning process for everyone, and the perfect time to begin this journey is during their college careers,” said Wanda Frazier, Placement Services director.

The following students in the program attended alumni presentations, resume workshops, career expos, met with corporate recruiters, learned how to successfully apply for jobs and practiced the job interview process. All students received a certificate awarded by the college and a commemorative gift.

As professional development is a continuing journey, students are eligible to complete the program more than once.
