Cedar Street Closed Next to Forest Grove Campus

4:30 p.m. update:

The leak has been contained and repairs are underway, but Cedar Street is expected to remain closed at least 12 hours for repairs. The closure will continue to impact Pacific University Parking Lots D and N.

3:15 p.m. update from Forest Grove Fire & Rescue:

"The gas leak has been stopped. The gas company will be on scene fixing the line break as well as getting the gas ventilated from under the ground. Cedar Street will stay closed by NW Natural throughout the evening as well as 22nd Avenue between Cedar and Douglas."

A section of Cedar Street adjacent to the Forest Grove Campus is closed due to a gas leak caused by local road construction.

Crews are on site addressing the issue. Until it is resolved, no traffic is allowed on Cedar Street between 21st Avenue and University Avenue. This also means that vehicles will be unable to enter or leave Parking Lot D until the leak is resolved.
