Carmel Nicol '16, MSW '17 Receives Dedication to Students Award
Carmel Nicol ’16, MSW ‘17 has received the 2021 Dedication to Students Award at Pacific University.
Nicol is assistant director of Graduate & Professional Admissions for the School of Audiology, where she works closely with prospective students to help them prepare for their journey toward a doctor in audiology degree.
She not only prepares materials and virtual presentations to welcome prospective students to the school; she also counsels incoming students and works with current students serving as ambassadors and tour guides. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, she has diligently transitioned her work to virtual settings that maintain the same quality of support for incoming students.
In addition to her role as a Pacific employee, Nicol also is an alumna who earned her undergraduate degree and her master of social work at Pacific. She is one of three triplet sisters who studied at Pacific.
The Dedication to Students Award recognizes an employee who goes beyond the call of duty in service to Pacific’s students.
