The program is an innovative, online professional training opportunity for community members who are fluent in both English and Spanish to become qualified healthcare interpreters in Spanish in the state of Oregon.

Members of the Alumni Association Board met four times over the past year and made tremendous progress toward fulfillment of the Alumni Association mission to “deepen the engagement of alumni and students in a lifelong relationship with Pacific University and to further the welfare of Pacific University.”
The one-week program, held at Pacific in conjunction with the Oregon Healthcare Workforce Institute's Area Healthcare Education Center, provides high school juniors and seniors a look at potential careers in healthcare through Pacific's health professions programs.
