Brian King Honored for Outstanding Contribution to the University

Brian King has received the Pacific University Outstanding Contribution to the University Award.

King is the Technology Helpdesk manager with University Information Services. He joined Pacific in 2008. 

When the university switched to Gmail in the summer of 2021, he played a key leadership role in the UIS support team, ensuring that students and employees had minimal disruption in service during the transition.

In addition to regular duties as the helpdesk manager, King has provided advanced technical support for online meetings, events, and classes requiring additional support during the pandemic.

The Outstanding Contribution to the University Award promotes and exemplifies the values of Pacific University —supporting sustainability, encouraging diversity, and fostering a sense of community.
