Boxer Parent: 'You Become Family'
Pat Pimental spent four years as a Boxer parent while her son played football and studied exercise science at Pacific University.
Though she lives in Hawai‘i, she came to campus repeatedly to support the Nā Haumāna O Hawai‘i Lu‘au each April.
"It's sharing a lot of our culture and spending time together," she said. "There's a camaraderie with the parents. You become not only life-long friends, but you become ‘ohana, which is family."
