Boxer Giving Day is a Success

Thank you to everyone who participated in Boxer Giving Day on March 15-16, 2016!

Our second annual 24-hour giving drive was a tremendous success because of your generosity.

A total of 1,365 people made gifts to Pacific University on Boxer Giving Day, contributing $226,647.

That’s a 25 percent increase in donors and a 37 percent increase in gifts.

We had great participation from every section of the Pacific University community, from students and employees to alumni, parents and friends — and participation was up from last year in every group!

President Lesley Hallick issued a challenge on Boxer Giving Day, promising a $5,000 match for gifts from first-time donors. In response, we saw gifts from 287 brand new donors to Pacific University!

Other challenges throughout the day also drew special gifts, including $21,106 to the College of Business in response to a challenge from Trustee Bob Barrett ’66, and $35,598 on behalf of the Class of 1966.

Your gifts on Boxer Giving Day — and any day — help support the mission of Pacific University: inspiring students who think, care, create, and pursue justice in the world. Your donations will help fund student scholarships, support academic and cocurricular programs, enhance research opportunities, and attract top faculty members.
