Pacific University faculty members were cited in news stories around the country leading up to last month’s annular solar eclipse. Arts & Sciences Professor Todd Duncan offered insight on the astronomic phenomenon, and Optometry Professor Karl Citek taught people how to protect their eyes in pieces by the Forest Grove News-Times, Vision Monday, KGW-TV (Portland), KDRV-TV (Medford, Ore.), and KEZI-TV (Eugene, Ore.).

Optometry faculty, alumni and students were in the news for their research leading to new safety standards for the sport of handball.

Even “Vera,” the ghost that allegedly haunts Pacific’s Knight Hall, made her own spooky-season appearance in the Peak Northwest Podcast and The Oregonian.
