September marks two important recognition and awareness months as both Suicide Prevention and Recovery are recognized.  If you are looking to contribute to the efforts of suicide prevention and supporting people in recovery there are a couple of upcoming Student Counseling Center workshops and trainings that might be a good fit!

Alyson Provax is a text based artist. Her primary medium is letterpress and she often uses repetition as a drawing tool rather than to make multiple originals. This calls into question the didactic certainty of text and can cause the viewer to notice the experience of reading. She is interested in the ways that we communicate things we are a bit uncertain of and how we tie our understanding of ourselves to language.
Pacific University will be hosting TIAA Financial Consultant, Andrew Martinez, for one-on-one consultation meetings with Pacific employees in September at the Forest Grove campus. 
The Office of EDIA thrilled to announce that Tia McNair, the author of From Equity Talk to Equity Walk, will be our keynote speaker on September 17. Everyone is invited to join Pierre for a discussion about the book before the presentation. These discussions will take place on September 10 and 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. via Zoom.

The Restructuring Task Force completed their work in May of this year and have provided a final summary of the work that is now posted on the Restructuring Task Force web page.
