April Horner, MAT '19, Named Educator of the Year by The Arc Oregon

Master of Arts in Teaching student April Horner '19 has been named Teacher of the Year by The Arc Oregon. April is the Academic Learning Center Teacher at Highland Park Middle School in Beaverton. Parents who nominated April for this prestigious award recognized her for how "she values the whole student and knows that in order to maximize student success, each student needs to be supported in all areas of need."

The Arc Oregon is a non-profit organization that advocates for the rights and full community participation of all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
