Apply for 3rd/4th Grade Openings at ELC
If you are looking for a different school experience for your child, check out the Early Learning Community (ELC), where children encounter a richly stimulating learning environment and nurturing, creative teachers, who guide them in their studies from prefixes and nonfiction writing to plant life cycles and bridge design.
The ELC still has a few open spots for the 2023-2024 school year in our blended 3rd/4th grade classroom. We believe that children learn best through authentic engagement with meaningful projects. Our curriculum aligns with 3rd and 4th grade standards, but allows children to explore these big ideas in a way that meets their developmental needs. The focus of the two-year curriculum cycle, understanding our place in our community and in our state, matches the growing social awareness of 3rd and 4th graders and their drive to figure out where they fit in the world.
The ELC is an independent school offering Preschool through 4th grade programs for children, located on Pacific University's Forest Grove Campus. Join us and your child will learn about plants and insects in our Brim Family Outdoor Learning Center, create and perform their own plays in the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center and thrive in small classes led by master teachers.
