Æx Barr MA '18, PsyD '21: School of Graduate Psychology Research Excellence Award
Æx Barr MA '18, PsyD '21 received the Research Excellence Award from the Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology’s doctor of psychology program.
Molly Young MA ’18, PsyD ’21 also received the award.
"Æx demonstrated excellence in research through the entire dissertation process," professors said. "Their research will continue to contribute to the field of psychology, particularly in the area of body positivity."
Barr, of Oakdale, Minn., earned a master of arts from the school in 2018 and graduated in August 2021 with a doctor of psychology, or PsyD. Barr has served as a counselor at the Pacific University Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinic.
The PsyD program at Pacific University offers a versatile degree program preparing doctoral level students for practice, teaching or research in clinical psychology. Students choose from five emphases within the generalist program, including adult, child, forensic, health, or neuropsychology, or the Sabiduría Latinx psychology emphasis.
