Practice/Research Interests

Area of practice is within care of underserved and minority populations within a primary care setting. Focus is on chronic disease state management with a primary emphasis on diabetes. Areas of research revolve around quality of care and outcome improvement for these patient populations.

Outside the Classroom

Dr. Begert is happily married and recently a new father to a great little baby boy. He enjoys doing as much as possible with them. He spends most of the time being outdoors in the great Oregon weather, hiking, camping, fishing and of course golfing. Born right across the street from Pacific's Hillsboro campus, he loves staying close to my roots and giving back to the community he grew up in.
