Admission

Applications are accepted for both the Fall and Spring semesters and are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis. Admissions decisions are typically made within three weeks of receipt of a completed application package.

Admitted students will receive a formal acceptance package that includes a confirmation agreement, housing information, and merit-based scholarship information.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Merit scholarships up to $30,000 per year are automatically awarded to admitted students based on a holistic application review. This includes your entire academic profile, not just your overall GPA. These merit scholarships are automatically renewed each year.

Pacific University also awards a limited number of $2,500 per year scholarships to qualifying Phi Theta Kappa members.  These scholarships are awarded to qualifying students on a first-come, first-served basis so apply early for consideration!

As a small private liberal arts university, Pacific University also considers qualified students for institutional need-based aid, awarded in the form of grants. To be considered for need-based financial aid, you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. You can apply for the FAFSA online. Send your FAFSA information to Pacific by using our institution code 003212.

Explore our website further for additional information related to Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Transfer Credits

Are you worried about which classes will transfer? Pacific accepts the AAOT (Oregon), DTA (Washington), LBRT (Hawaii), and IGETC and CSU - Breadth (California) associate degrees, as block transfer degrees fulfilling the majority of our general education core requirements. Additionally, we maintain a number of transfer agreements with community colleges in Oregon and Hawaii. Connect with our Office of Academic Advising at advisingcenter@pacificu.edu, for more specifics about how your classes will transfer and to request pre-transfer advising support. For more information about Academic Advising visit our Transfer Advising page.

Transfer Evaluation and Registration

Transcripts are evaluated in two stages. An initial evaluation is completed after a student has been admitted. This initial evaluation will show how many credits will transfer to Pacific. A final transcript evaluation is completed after the student has confirmed their enrollment by paying their $400 general enrollment deposit. This final transcript evaluation will show how the classes transferred. Registration occurs, for deposited students, on a rolling basis after final official transcripts have been evaluated and academic advisors have been assigned (typically during the months of June - August for fall starters, and in January for spring starters). The Advising Center can also help you plan your course of study in light of your transfer credits.

Office of Transfer Student Services

The Pacific University Office of Transfer Student Services is open to help all transfer students successfully transition and succeed in their Pacific University experience—and to assist every step of the way towards graduation. In addition, as advocates and representatives for students, the office plays an active role in communicating and working with both internal and external constituencies regarding transfer student issues.
