Clinical Educators

High quality clinical education is critical to the overall effectiveness of preparing our students to become competent physical therapists. An important element of the curriculum is the integration of the classroom work with clinical experience. All of Pacific University's internships are full time; there are three four-week internships and three eight-week internships intermixed with classroom work over the course of the three year program.

We are extremely fortunate to have a supportive and highly skilled group of clinical instructors to work with our students.  In appreciation of our instructors, we offer several benefits to individuals who supervise students, including library privileges and continuing education opportunities.

Pacific is constantly exploring the addition of new internship sites.  The highest demand from students is for local internship sites and for internships in hospital settings, as these are often not as readily available.  There is a formal review process that must occur in order for new sites to start taking students for internships.  Interested clinicians should contact Becca Reisch, ACCE, to initiate this process.
