Re-entry Program
The School of Occupational Therapy offers a program of study for therapists who are re-entering the field of practice after a lapse in their professional license (according to the Oregon Occupational Therapy Licensing Board, http://www.oregon.gov/OTLB/index.shtml, the lapse period is 3 years or more). The program is offered to therapists at the professional level (OT 639) and at the technical level (OT 439) and requires both didactic and fieldwork components (see catalog course descriptions). Registration typically occurs in July and December for these on-line courses, typically offered in the fall and spring semesters. Enrollment is limited.

Admission to the Re-Entry Program
The Re-entry Program is held twice a year, in fall and spring semesters.
Registration for Fall semester is from July 1 to August 15;
registration for spring semester is between December 1 and January 8.
This allows ample time for the student to order necessary textbooks for the course. The start date for fall of 2009 is August 24, 2009. The start date for spring of 2009 is January 18, 2010. The program is designed to be able to be completed in approximately four months.
The fieldwork component of the course has healthcare requirements. Please review these at the Certification Prerequisites link below, to assure compliance so that the fieldwork component can begin on schedule. The fieldwork component syllabus, prerequisites, and criminal history check forms are listed below. Please review.

The cost for either of the reentry courses for the 09-10 academic year is $1534 for this two credit course, which is $767 per credit hour.
