Students, staff and faculty who meet the conditions of any of the priority groups listed within this full article are eligible to receive H1N1 vaccinations during the Nov. 18th clinic on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies run out.
Students, staff and faculty who meet the conditions of any of the priority groups listed below are eligible to receive H1N1 vaccinations during the Nov. 18th clinic on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies run out. We have received a limited number of vaccines and will receive additional supplies as they become available. Given the shortage of vaccine at this time, only those in the priority groups below for vaccination will receive a vaccination at this time.
Priority Groups
Due to the supply of vaccine against pandemic H1N1 influenza arriving more slowly than originally anticipated, the following population groups are in the priority vaccination group as specified by the Centers for Disease Control Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices:
- Adults under 25 years of age
- Caretakers of children under 6 months old
- Pregnant women
- Adults aged 24-65 with chronic medical conditions that put them at risk of complications from influenza infection (such as heart or lung disease, asthma, reactive airways, kidney disease, metabolic disease e.g., diabetes, blood diseases, auto immune disease)
- Healthcare providers and emergency medical services providers
- Frontline law enforcement and corrections officers
